Optimized Hybrid Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket with Post Treatment Processes for Wastewater

This paper presents a review and findings of the Hybrid Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (HUASB) technologies, deploying lab scale reactors for treatment domestic industrialwastewater. The major controlling parameters HUASB such as inert media used, pH, temperature, upflow velocity, organic loading, hydraulic residence time along with startup granulation are highlighted its efficient performance achieving optimum results. Wastewater arising from plethora industrial activities characteristics has been included in conjunction treatability different types reactors. study found that varied range 10-40% reactor volume, COD removal efficiency 41-99% methane generation 50-75% biogas produced. Moreover, this studied post options enhanced effluent water quality energy recovery. Therefore, to achieve sustainability circular economy technology suitable can be adopted purpose wastewater reuse.
